The projectâs team seek to provide holistic packages of care to young people in the BANES area with problematic substance misuse support needs. The overall ethos behind the project is to provide a physical space in which young people want to spend time and can then access a range of services.
The Project 28 team have created a strong working ethos and value system which underpins their work aiming at empowering the young people to have a voice and creating a warm, welcoming and trusting atmosphere for the young people
Young people are offered support and assessment around their drug/ alcohol use, employment and training needs and other 'soft' skills including:
• Counselling
• Diversionary Activities; Music, Residential, Fishing, Football, Gym
• Individual Sessions
• Groups
• Open Access
• Healthy Eating
• Outreach
• Schools & Colleges
• Workshops
• Training
• Family Work
• Voluntary Work Opportunities
Service User Forum
Project 28 have a health service user forum. This enables young people to shape the service to their requirements.
Young Carer's Group
Project 28 run a Young Carer's Group every Tuesday from 2pm to 4pm, for those ages 11-17 years that are affected by someone else's drug and alcohol use.
Project 28 works with young people up to the age of 18 who are resident within Bath and North East Somerset.
