Who we are:
We provide a supported housing and a floating support service for north Somerset.
Our supported housing scheme is made up of eight self contained unfurnished flats for single people in Clevedon, with on site support from a support worker. This accommodation is offered for up to two years and support is provided to move on.
Our floating support scheme offers support to people living in their own accommodation (with public or private landlords), in order to help them maintain their tenancies. We work across North Somerset and the support is for a maximum of two years.
We offer a housing related support service to enable people with mental health problems to live independently and manage their tenancies.
We offer a range of support including:
* money,
* debt or arrears management
* support with welfare benefits
* finding training, education or work,
* support around social isolation.
We also provide support in developing life skills or social skills and accessing other support services. We support people with their emotional and mental health issues.
In our supported housing scheme we also offer an effective housing management service. We work from 9am to 5pm, Mondays to Fridays.
We work with a person centred and recovery focused approach, that is flexible and creative.
Each person is allocated a support worker, who will support the individual to meet the goals or support needs which have been identified in their individual support plan. We work with a broad range of services and resources across North Somerset in order to provide a comprehensive support package.
We promote equality of opportunity and value diversity. We encourage the people we support to take part in our service user involvement meetings and through these to get involved in service delivery.
We deliver our services across North Somerset.
Applications are accepted from people aged 18 and over who are experiencing a mental health problem, have a housing related support need or require supported accommodation, and have been free from alcohol and substance misuse for six months for the accommodation based service, and three months for the floating support service.
Referrals are welcomed from any organisation in the North Somerset area.
We also accept self referrals.
Referral forms can be downloaded here or by contacting our office.
