Somerset Suicide Bereavement Support service is available to anyone bereaved by suicide in Somerset. We offer emotional support as well as guidance through the trauma of sorting out personal affairs.
This service operates 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
The loss of someone through suicide can often result in prolonged complicated grief.
Emotions can include, shock, devastation, bewilderment, despair, fear, anguish, isolation, anger, stigma and guilt.
Somerset Bereavement Support Service is available to anyone bereaved by suicide in Somerset.We offer emotional support as well as guidance through the trauma of sorting out personal affairs.

Fully trained members of staff are available to advise on matters such as liaising with the police, Coroner’s office, and where requested, faith groups. Most importantly, we are here to listen at a time of great stress and anguish.
Anyone in Somerset who is recently bereaved by suicide is encouraged to phone or email us directly and professionals can make referrals to the service on their behalf.
We provide telephone and face-to-face support, and host a peer support group for anyone bereaved by suicide, however recently or long ago. This is a safe place where people can share their stories and feelings and derive some comfort from spending time with those who have similar experiences.
We also provide support and training to schools affected by the loss by suicide of a student or pupil.
