The Wellbeing Service is based at the Compass Centre in Jamaica Street - where St Mungo's already manages recovery and skills and employment opportunities for homeless people - in partnership with Second Step, a leading provider of mental health support and housing services in the south west.
The Wellbeing Service provides mental health support at a primary care level. Staff include a clinical manager, a psychologist, and engagement and assessment workers.
The hope is to also attract volunteers from among those who've experienced homelessness and can offer first-hand support, as well as student psychologists and others keen to support people with mental health problems affecting their home situation.

Street outreach for those experiencing homelessness, hostels, supported housing and floating support services.
Our team support people rough sleeping in Bristol, coordinating closely with housing providers and other services. We work with clients on the streets and also at the Compass Centre in Stokes Croft to move people into appropriate accommodation and to help those at risk of rough sleeping from ending up on the streets.
We provide a bed and support for people in Bristol who are homeless with needs around their physical or mental health. We manage a mix of hostels and supported houses, including some women only services. Stays can last for weeks or even maybe months, before moving on into longer term accommodation when appropriate.
The main location is the Compass Centre, Jamaica Street but there are various hubs across the city including in Barton Hill and St Judes.
To access the available accomodation you need ot be referred in to these services through the council's housing service, or through other agencies.
