Students can now enrol onto a variety of Recovery College day or weekly courses, jointly designed by, and for, clients, staff and others in Bristol.

St Mungo’s Bristol Recovery College focuses on helping people with their
recovery through giving them opportunities to learn new skills, make
new friendships, and build confidence.
Recovery College is not designed
specifically to help people recover from substance misuse but helps people
focus on their future and in doing so, aims to aid their recovery from
mental ill health, chaotic lifestyles and substance misuse.
Recovery College is free and available to all and particularly welcomes
people in recovery, staff from support or partner agencies and people
supporting those on their road to recovery. Enrolment is encouraged but
the ethos of the college is that it is an open and inclusive environment, so
students can sign up to sessions on the day.
Recovery College takes place five days a week during term time at the
Compass Centre and at the New Street Centre
A range of courses are available to choose from including:
Personal Development - including assertiveness, communication, get into work
Health and Wellbeing - including first aid, drama therapy
Getting Active - including tai chi, conservation
Creativity - including creative writing, photography
