Overview
We take a holistic approach to each client: our Advisers look at each client's entire financial picture to ensure the solutions offered are sustainable and in the client's best interests. We also have a wide network of other organisations we refer to if other needs are identified that we are unable to assist with. We will help anyone in the Bristol and South Glos area who is experiencing financial hardship and problem debt.
What we do
Talking Money provides the following free, independent services:
- Personal Debt Advice – one of our specialist Advisers can explain the options available and help you regain control, this could include writing to creditors, consolidating your debt and debt relief orders.
- Financial Education – we can help you manage your money going forward and improve your financial awareness and understanding.
- Income Maximisation – A trained welfare benefits Advisor can help you access benefits, grants, challenge overpayments of Housing Benefit, council tax benefit, tax credits and manage your money sustainably.
Where we do it
We are currently running an appointment-only service. Appointments can be made by telephone or email. Booked appointments are offered at our office in Old Market, or by telephone, video call, or email if required. We can also arrange home visits in some instances.
We also run a South Gloucestershire Debt Advice outreach session every Thursday morning. Appointments can be made by calling or emailing us and the address for the session is detailed below.
