Services we Provide

Overview

Our aim is to help transform the lives of people affected by drug and alcohol problems. We do this by offering a wide range of services in England and Scotland.

Not only do we help the individual recover from their dependency, but we also offer support to those closest to them.

Working with families and loved ones forms a major part of Addaction's treatment ethos.

What we do

Daily Duty System 

Duty operates through opening hours:

  • Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri (9 - 5)
  • Thursday (8 - 8)
  • Saturday (10 - 1) 
     

Prescribing Services

We deliver a full range of prescribing interventions in the treatment of opiate dependence, community detoxifications and referrals to inpatient detoxifications and Community Care Assessments for access to residential treatment.

Key Working

We offer 1-1 appointments, psychosocial interventions, brief interventions, Counselling, recovery plans and wrap around services available, reducing drug related harm and building motivation to change.

Groupwork 

We deliver a number of group work programmes to suit all needs and stages of recovery:

Structured Self Empowerment Day Programme

  • 4 days per week
  • This group will help you to gain insight into your thought patterns and behaviours which potentially can be triggers for relapse. 

Prep 4 Change Group

  • 1x weekly group
  • This can assist you in preparing for detox or making significant changes in your drug use
     

Mutual Aid Partnership Meetings (MAP)

  • Running 3x per week
  • These are peer support meetings that are open to anyone who wishes to discuss alcohol or drug misuse issues.
  • MAP uses a range of evidence-based techniques and strategies, to educate and elicit change in behaviours relating to alcohol and drug use.
  • It uses "MAP" tools to empower participants to arm themselves with solutions/new thought processes as a vehicle towards change.

 
Needle Exchange & BBV Testing Service

  • Operates during office opening hours
  • Advice and information is available to help you to get on the road to recovery. Immediate BBV testing and vaccinations available

Drug intervention Programme (DIP)

For individuals involved in the criminal justice system through drug related behaviour, with emphasis on the need to break the cycle of crime and drugs.

This is achieved by providing opportunities to access support and treatment programmes to address substance misuse.
