Bristol Wellbeing Therapies (BWT) is the gateway into Bristol’s NHS funded primary care service. BWT conduct all the assessments into this free and confidential service.
Therapies are provided by a range of different providers for adults of all ages.
* Initial metal health assessments.
* Foundation courses for low mood and stress management (group based).
* Referral to 1:1 specialist services.
* Referral into group specialist services
* Delivery of 1:1 and group work intervention by qualified Psychologists.

We aim to work with you to overcome anxieties, and difficulties you may be experiencing using the least intensive option and increasing the level of support we provide if and when you need it. We also let you decide where you want to access treatment.
We provide assessment for, and access to a number of interventions including the below.
1) low mood
2) stress management.
1) depression
2) anxiety
3) stress
4) anger management
5) loss/bereavement
6) relationship difficulties
7) eating issues
8) obsessions
9) long term physical problems
Although we can offer access to counselling sessions we work to help you move forward and not look back. Through CBT we help you to change the way you think and therefore the way you react to situations in life.
BWT have a few bases where we can complete assessment, however we also have access to a number of venues to deliver group courses and 1:1 sessions. Please see below for details of where you can access our services.

Probation Referrals
If you are working with Probation or you are an IMPACT, IRiS or Probation offender manager you can access both LIFT Psychology Bristol and LIFT Psychology South Glos by:
S. Glos-completing the pre assessment form - SouthGlos LIFT Registration Form and emailing it to awp.SouthGlosTalkingTherapies@nhs.net.
Please make sure the form makes clear that the individual being referred is working with Probation.
