Street Level Access Programme ( Elim SLAP)

Overview

Connect Elim is part of Elim (a world wide mainstream Christian Church), our aim is to serve the social, physical, spirtual, mental and emotional needs of the community.

Street Level Access Programme (SLAP) is supporting change in people challenged by complex and multiple needs such as homelessness, addiction, mental health or other life controlling issues.

Our skilled and dedicated team provide short and long term, person centred support to create real life difference.

What we do

We work with key organisations across Mendip to enable fast and effective access to a wide range of services.

Who can we help? Anyone who lives in Mendip and is experiencing one or more of the following:

- Homelessness
-Unemployment
-Struggling with life-controlling issues eg addiction or self harm.
-Mental health.
-Relationship problems
-Social isolation.

We offer the following services:

- Rough Sleeper Outreach
We specialise in providing immediate and wide-ranging support for anyone who finds themselves or is reported to be rough sleeping.
- Activity groups and connecting sessions
Social groups aimed at befriending and empowering people.
- Counselling Service and One-on-One support.
We offer a professional counselling service with a team of experienced, independent counsellors.
- Mail Collection, Laundry and Shower Services
We can receive mail securely for anyone who is without a fixed address. We also offer a laundry service

Our Drop in Clinics are run from the following places:

Wells: Elim Connect Centre
Mon,Tue,Thu - 13:00-14:00
Fri- 15:00-17:00, Sun:12:00-13:00

Frome: Bridge Cafe, 43 Selwood Road
Mon- 10:00-12:00

Glastonbury/Street: Red Brick Building, Morland Enterprise Park
Thu: 13:00-15:00
